THE FORMATION OF THE ESD (ElectroStatic Discharge)
The formation of the static electricity is caused by the separation of similar or different materials. During this process fields of different potential are formed. The spark, which is triggered in these circumstances, is the electrostatic discharge and it represents a danger for the integrity of your electronic components and major electronic groups.
Due to claims and complains inadequate packing causes enormous annual losses in the electronic industry. This is the main reason why we have developed a corrugated cardboard packing fitted with a static dissipative internal and external layer. The actual classification for the surface resistance complies with the standard EIA-541. The static dissipative material is actually defined as a material with a surface resistance in the range between 1 x 104 and 1 x 1011, measured according to ESD ANSI S11.11.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE USERS OF THE ESD PROTECTIVE PACKING
The packing and the ESD (ESDS) sensitive products within must be handled exclusively in confined areas protected against the ESD (EPA - Electro-statically Protected Areas). On every single packing must be applied an ESD warning and the date of production of the protective packing. When the packing of the product is completed the protective packing itself must be sealed until its content is ready for use.
Protective packing can be used several times because its dissipative qualities remain unimpaired. The packing does not pollute the surroundings and is completely degradable.
